I was born in Belgium , in Liège, in October 31 st 1962. Been daughter of an antiquarian, I was since young familiarised with antiques. I studied Arts, paint, drawing, arts history, etc. in the Liège Academy of Arts.
When I was 18, I participated for the first time in a Hatha Yoga lesson, it was organised by the University of Liège. I loved it so much that I kept on going to all the lessons, always wishing to learn more. That why I asked my teacher, Mr. Joiris (trained by the Sivananda School ), what I could do to go further in Yoga, and though I was young and without experience, he proposed me to join a course to become teacher that he was organising then. This allowed me to learn deeply, not only the practise of asanas and pranayama, but also, I started to learn the sacred books and body anatomy. I followed this course to become a teacher for one and a half year, and then I dropped it caused by a long journey to Latin America.
When I came back to Liège I started lessons of Hatha Yoga again, but the taste of voyaging was very strong, so I departed to the Canary Islands, this time, for good. I was 23 when I arrived to Lanzarote, where I decided to settle, I loved its tranquillity, its beauty, the hospitality of the inhabitants and its simplicity.
At that time, hardly anyone knew about Yoga, so I was enforced to work in tourism, the only well developed industry. Always practising Yoga, I worked for a tourist boat as a guide and ended at the maritime school where I got my Ship Master certificate.
Then I gave birth my son, and that, made me start to practise Yoga seriously. I learnt enfant massage, which provided me new horizons; I went on a course of advanced Anatomy, Stretching, and Massage (relaxing, therapeutic, sports), and then a course in Reflexology, Lymphatic Drainage, Reiki, Quantum Touch, and finally EFT (emotional freedom techniques). With all that training background I understand and feel Yoga more and more. I decided then to go on a course of Hatha Yoga teacher, because I understood that through Yoga I can really help people. Nowadays I teach full time Hatha Yoga, and I keep on learning. In June 2008, in Chester ( England ), I went on a Kriya and Surya Yoga course, the teacher, GuruNath, founder of Hamsa Yoga.org. In August 2008, I went to the Sivananda Castle in Orléan , France, on a Yoga Psychology course, the teacher, Uma Krisnamurti, children Psychologist, Yogi, and Hindu Dance teacher.
